This project took place near UW-Madison campus where the new homeowners wanted to completely clean up their front yard to improve curb appeal and decrease maintenance and upkeep. At our initial consultation, we found that this property was extremely overgrown and there was absolutely no usable lawn space. We started by putting together a simple, low-maintenance design for the homeowners so that they could better visualize what improvements were to be made. From there, we began the demo/removal work using machines, regraded the front yard for proper water drainage, leveled off and fine graded the soil to prepare for fresh new sod, and we finished everything off by installing clean, low-maintenance mulch beds around the front of the house and street terrace and planted shrubs and flowering perennials.
